The Burney Family
Brooklyn Burney , 15 months old, had a perinatal stroke at birth. A 1 month old she suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm. A team of doctors and nurses from Children’s Hospital saved her life after performing two emergency craniotomies as well as having to do CPR when she flatlined during her stay. Laura and Justin Burney, her parents, are giving back by sharing their story as part of the Growing to New Heights expansion campaign for Children’s Hospital and want to make sure more parents/children have access to the same great care that Brooklyn received. Her story will appear in the next issue of Hope magazine, as part of an expansion story.
